Hey, it has been only 5,000 miles on my truck and it was 2 quarts of oil left on the truck.
Where i live right now is summer temps most of the time iare 94 to 104F higher.
US oil spec is 5w20, but dont know for my weather which is the recommended oil viscosity to use on my ford raptor.
As well i have a xcal 3 tuned, full exhaust system and afe air intake

you use 5w20 as prescribed...

do you know what the 5w 20 stands for.... It means at cold it flows at 5 weight motor oil very fast... When it gets hot it flows at 20 weight motor oil... The engine temps not going to change because it is or is not 100 degrees outside since the engine oil is about 200 degrees as an operating temperature...

Ohh great info, yes i use 5w20 because is the one that came on the truck as well is written on the engine oil cap.
I sent it to my local ford dealer for a 5k miles check having a 40% of engine oil life at the dash board. The oil dip stick was on the mark of -2 quarts of engine oil.

What is your recommendation?

Strange that ate you that much oil, did you ever check it after you drove off the dealer lot?

I have yet to add oil between oil changes from day one.
And you would think being Supercharged the last 10,000 miles I would have too.
The first oil changes was with Ford Dealer Blend only because I did not have time to do it myself.
But I switched to Mobil 1 and now I'm using Mobile 1 Extended, which is recommended for Supercharged and High Heat running engines.
All 5W-20 of course.
