E-Bikes are not light. 45 to 60 pounds. I am not going to lift it up as the bed of my Raptor is too tall with leaf springs and 37's. Also I have a chase rack with 2 37" spares and a jack in the bed. With the 1Up rack, 10 seconds and it is ready to go.

Yea, but you should have tons of energy from barely breaking a sweat on an ebike.

Just giving you a hard time, I will own one eventually. I said at 50, but I don't think I can wait 10 years. Seem like a blast.

I tried to order several, all were backorder for months.

Found this available for store pickup w/2-day leadtime at the local REI: Saris MTR 2-Bike Hitch Rack

Pros:
  • Heavy/solid, well made
  • Once adjusted to specific wheel size, holds bikes very well.
  • Max weight per bike = 60 lbs
  • Does not touch frame/fork
Cons:
  • Heavy.
  • Takes a while to install / uninstall. Wanted the Kuat, but did not want to wait 2 months for it. The Kuat was my top pick.

No to the Trek, they went full SJW refusing to sell bikes to the Police. Can’t support them. Getting a deal on three Pedego bikes, and they have a five year warranty.
Thanks for the replies, like the 1UP rack. The Kuat is really nice too.

This is not true. Fuji quit selling to police. Trek still does. They list police bikes on their website. Store is still full of them getting serviced here. Here is an article on their statement.

Have your wife ride the E-bike and you'll take the Raptor and meet her at the destination Then have her ride back home after. You kill two birds with one stone. She'll get her exercise and you'll get to drive the Raptor in peace and quiet! Done!!!!

I have both the Kuat and the 1UP racks, they are both great and whichever one you get will be a solid choice.

My 1UP is a little more stable with heavy bikes, but its a little harder to load and unload (releasing the latch)

The Kuat is super easy to use, it does have some rubber parts that can wear, but I just called Kuat even when it was more than 5 years old and they shipped new stuff for free.
