the less stuff i have to send the truck out for when delivered the better. i went factory liner. it will do what i need it to.
Exactly--I am more than happy with the factory spray liner I got. Every time I send any of my vehicles off to a shop for something, even an oil change at the Ford dealer, I'm putting my entire vehicle at risk for.....well, just pick something--joy ride miles from bored lot boys, door dings, scratches, and most often, lazy legs kicking my interior door panels. It happens so often, you almost necessarily have to enter the situation expecting some kind of damage on your vehicle after they give it back to you. I used to expect best perfection, holding whomever touched my truck fully accountable. No more--I choose my battles now, and having the factory spray in the bed liner was one less battle to potentially armor up for.
I definitely hear you, but I personally wish I had been able to go with Line X for one simple reason -- they coat the end of the bed and the underside of the tailgate. My dealer did mine and it's similar to the factory liner and I have already had instances where I wished the liner covered more. Luckily it's all aluminum so don't need to worry about rust, but if it hadn't been a factory liner would be an absolute no-go for me.

Here is a good video of a 2016 Ford spray in vs Line-x remove and install.
I'm not saying one bed liner is better than another. It sounds like line-x is probably king. That being said, I don't think the video showing the removal of the bed liner was being fair to the factory spray in liner. When they removed the factory liner, they started peeling up from the edges and then worked their way in. With the line-x they tore a small hole in the center and then tried peeling it up. Have you ever peeled a sticker ofo of something and started by tearing a hole in the center vs starting on the edges? Which do you think is going to come off easier? Starting at the edges of course. Also they had two guys peeling up the factory liner vs one guy on the line-x. Of course its going to be harder and take longer to peel off the line-x when you have one guy vs two and you start peeling up from the center vs starting at the edges.
Like I said, I'm sure line-x is still tougher, just wish they had done a true side by side comparison to more accurately represent the results. Seems misleading the way they did it.

Ford doesnt scuff the bed so the liner has nothing to grab onto thats why when the factory liner comes of it comes off in big sheets with a very shiny back where it was in contact with the bed. The line-x is opposite, it comes off in small chunks with a matte back because it was holding onto the scratches put into the bed during prep. Also line-x is thicker than factory. I have a buddy with a 16 f150 with the factory liner and I just got line-x premium and we were both parked side by side in a parking lot for a spring tailgate game and we were comparing the liners since our tailgates were used as tailgate seating and it was easy to see how much thicker the line-x is sprayed on.
Dont forget Ford factory liner is 3 yr warranty and Line-x is lifetime so that in itself is worth the extra couple hundred.
