I need a bed cover to keep prying eyes out of the bed. I don't need anything real expensive as I'm going to be selling for a gen3 here soon. I'm moving back down to SoCal for work and will need to throw a bunch of my tools and stuff in the bed.

So what can you guys recommend me?

I bought my '14 Raptor 3 months ago and it came with a PaceEdwards brand. While mine is all remote controlled electric which auto locks in whatever position you choose, that $2400 (internet website) is more than you want to spend. They had lower priced models, all aluminum or alloy I think, and may be worth a look. Mine is performing great and although I didn't need one on there, I'm glad it's there. Just an added bonus I wasn't expecting.
I'm looking for a fabric style cover for the whole truck, if anyone could help with that. Just trying to protect my investment from the La. sun and humidity.

I went with the Advantage Hard Hat. I was looking for sturdy, easily removed, inexpensive, and without tracks along the inside of my bed rails. It was about $600 and I'm quite happy with it.

If using it for work, and you choose to get a quality cover, I’d go with a diamondback. Have one on a F350 work truck and it’s great for security keeping things under the cover safe, and can still load pallets on top of the cover like I would with a tradition flat bed. Best of both worlds for the work world IMO.

Well thats great to hear the cover will fit the gen3, I really didn't want to have to give it away with the truck when I got rid of it or had to sell it at a loss. Makes it a lot easier to buy now, thanks!

Have one of the soft covers on mine, "Truxedo Pro X-15". I bought it mainly to keep the rain off luggage etc on long trips and to give our dog more room in the back seat area. I like it because it's easy to take off when you aren't using it but still keeps the bed dry even in heavy rain/snow. The hard covers previously mentioned obviously offer much more security though.
