Ok I’m running triple fog lights with SPV wiring harness’. I’m running the outer most on my factory fog switch and the inner 2 bd squadron pros off aux 1 upfitter. I’m running them through a mini relay from John and it’s been fine for months. The other night the road was flooded in a bad storm and I hit a huge pool of water that slowed the truck down and I’m assuming did something to my lighting. Tonight I remote start the truck and one of the pros is partially illuminated. The upfitter is off. Even if I turn the truck off now it stays partially illuminated. Almost like it is backlit. The fog does function to full bright. Does anyone know where I should start to find why it’s doing this? Is this wiring or the light itself. Any help appreciated.

I would recommend switching out the connections from a different light and seeing if that changes anything. You can also do a direct power test on the light as well. If it turns out, you have an issue with the light we can cover it under our lifetime warranty. Feel free to reach out if that’s the case. [email protected]

Noah / @The Car Stereo Company nailed it. I’ll bet there’s a relay in there and the relay is probably soaked through, because relays advertised as weather resistant aren’t really rated for being submerged. In fact, they’re not really rated for weather that is wet.

I came out to my back porch one night finding my neighbor’s yard lit up like daytime. I thought “Terry’s motion sensors are going nuts, but ... no deer. must’ve bolted off”.
Next night I took out the trash and same thing, but this time I noticed my reverse lights were on. My B/D wide corner squadron sports (not even the pros). I got in, hit the up fitter forward & back and they went off so I made a note to dig into the harness next chance. Next morning I found them lit up again. Eventually after I got past denial, I pulled the “weather resistant” relay apart and it was soaked. I swapped it, wrapped the relay with enough rubber and then electrical tape to make Noah cry for 2 straight weeks.

Thanks that makes sense being the relay. I don’t think it could be the actual light since there should be zero power going to the fogs when the truck is off. I’ll dig into the wiring as soon as I get home

All things considered that is a bad ass front end lighting setup.
Thanks. Baja did XL80s for me in the linkable kit. Might be a bit much but I love it.

I think I found the issues well. Swapped some relays I had wired to other lights and it did seem to be the problem. Not sure if the issue with the water was just a coincidence or not it happened around the same time since the relay was pretty high up by the battery. I’ll know for sure when I get the new one in and see if it happens again. Thanks for the input everyone
