Just finished installing my BedRug and Roll-X. They are both great products and fit perfectly. Thanks to everybody especially Birdman for your posts and how-tos...they help tremendously. Thanks to Morrie again for great service and pricing.

Here is a tip for installing the step tail gate cover from BedRug. The cover is supposed to be folded over the stock plastic cover so the bolts pass thru it twice. This is very difficult as it does not want to fold and the plastic is very stiff and the midget stripper pole keeps the plastic from being pulled up far enough to work with it. I took the bedrug cover and "ironed" a fold in it by smacking it repeatedly along the crease with a ball peen hammer on an anvil. This encouraged it to stay folded long enough to get it bolted down! :hitit:

Im really leaning hard on the roll-x myself..

just curious , why did you choose the roll-x over the others?

Regarding the bedrug install on the tailgate, it's best to do the bolts on opposite edges first, and just barely screw them in. Then once you have all the bolts threaded, tighten them all down.

I did the same combo... love it. One tweak I added, I bought some "D" shaped weather seal off of amazon, and installed it on the back of the latch bar (the side facing the tailgate). It provides another level of seal between the tailgate and Roll-X.

I chose the Roll X on Morrie's recommendation. I was going to get the Bak Flip F1 until I talked to him and he described the differences. I like the ease of rolling it back vs. flipping the sections.

I drove it thru the car wash today and had no leaks at all.
