I recently had this BD S8 installed behind the grill. It's so friggin bright. I love it.

However.....

I also like going fast and whatnot. It's my intention to eventually do bigger intercooler, downpipes, turbo adapters, dumps, and a tune, possibly **** after that if I wanna go all crazy.

Does anyone know if any aftermarket ICs fit with the S8 installed? or will I have to yank the lightbar in order to go faster? Thanks in advance!

what he said. Also, the FMIC has been a common denominator in a -few- Rap owners with overheating issues. The guys running stock location intercoolers are doing just fine, so I’d look to one of those.

Gents, thanks for your quick replies. I'd be fine probably with an upgraded IC in the stock location, but I'm not really completely sure. And yeah, given where the S8 sits behind the grille, I get how a FMIC wouldn't fit.

Do you guys have any suggestions on upgraded ICs for the stock location? It's my understanding that a tune and an IC are the 2 biggest things you can do when it comes to putting down power.

I intend on keeping the stock bumper, I like the look of it, at least for the moment, unless you guys sway me off the idea.

Downforce, wow. That's mean looking. Great pictures. Thanks for your contribution. What are you running for tires/lift? I don't think I'll every be able to lift my truck I regularly park in a parking garage and my stock antenna scrapes the entrance. I can maybe do 1 inch.

On another note--

Anyone running the procharger IC? (Picture attached for reference) It looks like it might not interfere with my current lighting setup. I'll completely agree that IC probably trumps a light-bar, but I really like the looks of the stock bumper and stealthy-behind the grille lights.

eibach springs, deaver +3 with rpg billet drop shackles. 35x12.5-17 Toyo m/t

I have no issues with any parking garage, it's only about 2 inches taller than a standard f150 4x4

That antenna sticks WTF up there. Ridiculous that Ford puts these on $30,000 trucks. Buy a shortie. A couple inches of lift with new springs is about all you want anyway, unless you've got tens of thousands of dollars burning a hole in your pocket.

I don’t think this is the common route. Most go FMIC or stock location. Maybe someone who has can comment. I’d you go stock location, just pull out the 3 shutters and you will get a big difference in cooling that new IC.
