Well at least we know Ford can improve on how they launch new products.

I am just as anxious as you, but Ford has said all along "available in the fall". All information has been released according to that timeline and it looks like that trucks will be available in the Fall. I don't really see any broken promises there.

The Raptor is a submodel of F150. Albeit the Raptor this year is a new introduction in the aluminum F150 line, it is not something I would really consider a first year model. I have complete faith that Ford will get this right and if they don't, they will make it right.

Ford took a long time with this redesign, so I would think that most of the first-year "gremlins" would be worked out. That said, it is a pretty major change from the first go around, and just because many people may not experience issues doesn't mean there won't be things for ford to fix in the coming years. I like to wait and see how things go when talking about dropping big cash on something new. Hell, I even waited when they added the crew cab, and there it was...the clunk. Glad there are volunteers out there willing to help me make an informed decision though :)

The rear diff on my '04 CTS-V was an absolute nightmare. I believe I went through 6 or 7 replacements and GM kept replacing it with the same part.

Fall started like three weeks ago. But my comment isn't really about the semantics of fall, whether or not Ford holds vehicles to fix small or major issues before the "release date". They held GT350s to fix the seatbelts. My point is simply I've seen other manufacturers do a slightly better job of releasing new models. Ford has been for the last few performance vehicles kind of taking the approach of we will release it in this general time period. Which means to mean they are still testing all the way up or very close to the actual OKTB.

Case in point is my 16 GT350. Got the tech pack. Love it and it has been flawless, but would've been nice to have a factory transmission cooler like the 17s. To me that's an example of not finishing all your testing prior to release only to find out later, hey I guess we should've done x y or z. I guess the counter argument to that can be don't buy a first year car, or the manufacturer can just do their due diligence prior to actually releasing the final product.

Main thing for me is they get it right. If that's what they are doing, cool by me.
