Automatic running boards issue

I have a 2014 raptor with have automatic running boards that have worked perfectly until I yesterday when I let me lil niece sit in my drivers sit while the truck was completely off, no keys in ignition. she was playing with the wheel and pressing god knows what buttons. But after she got out, my running boards do not work at all, they will not deploy when I open my doors. Ive read that there is a settings where you can turn the running boards on/off but my 2014 raptor does not have that setting. Can anyone help??

without the vehicle on, there is nothing she could have done to make them not work. auto steps drive me nuts though. i guess the first step is to check power to the steps. make sure its got power and ground

Raptors never came with power running boards,so they are either aftermarket or someone installed the Ford system that was available on other F-150 models.

The first step will be finding out what brand there are and how they are installed.

If they are Amp Powersteps, check to see if she didn't kick or unplug from the OBDII port.

Yes check the port. Only problem I ever had was a loose ground on the battery.
