No it doesn't - you can set it to the off mode for good

This is false ... You can't. The menu option is not the same start/stop feature.

The only current ways to disable are:
1) Press the on/off button each time
2) Watch the youtube video & jump wires making it think the button is continually pressed.
3) Trick your truck in to thinking its towing something by plugging something in.

I also found I could massage the brake pedal slightly when I don't want it to shut off. I depress the brake fully as I come to a stop. Then, just as the truck fully stops, I slightly back off the brake pedal. The engine keeps running. If I then fully depress the pedal again, the truck shuts off in a second or two.
I don't mind the auto stop, but I do like to control it when I want. Tweaking the brake pedal position seems to work. Still experimenting a bit to see it consistently.

HAHA okay tomorrow ill look into what settings i changed to turn it off.

What about going through the settings on the Information display, under Advance Settings, Vehicle, and then Auto Engine Off? Let me know if that works.

Agreed. I thought I saw a setting in the Information Center when I was playing around with other settings. But maybe I'm thinking of something else. I'll check as well when I get home tonight....

There is something in the settings that allows you to turn it off, but it works just like the button and defaults back to on just the same as the button does, once you turn off the ignition. I would love for most of us to be wrong about this! Hopefully we are and you have a trick we can all learn.
