nosbusa,

how easy was it to install and where did you put the black box? looks like a good product to go along with my focals.

installs on clean sweeps take a while. normally with an amp, about 3-4 hours. placement of the two units depends on where you have space. not knowing what you plan on doing to the truck, i can not tell you where you can put it. however behind the back seat us a good place.

I would use the clean sweep if I were installing aftermarket speakers/amp, but it seems like the MS-8 is intended to get the max quality out of stock systems. Is anyone using the clean sweep their stock system?

i install clean sweeps frequently at work. not in a raptor yet though. but its all the same. the factory sound system puts out sound at a crossed over frequency, the cleansweep attemps (and does a good job) to flatten out the eq curve. however that being said, there is no better way to maximize sound unless you change the SOURCE. the summing device is needed to combine the front door woofers and tweeters as well. when tuned right, its a vast increase in sound quality

I have replaced the stocks speakers including sub with focals and an MTX thunderform with integrated amp. It is a huge improvement over that sh*tty system I paid to upgrade when I ordered the truck. I am happy with the clarity and out levels of the new system and was looking at the clean sweep to take it to the next level. With all that being said, do you all think that I would need to add an amp to the speakers or can I get away with just tapping into the stock harness with the clean sweep and call it a day?
