Planning the same. Going with the PRO XR. Was teetering between the retrax and peragon, I just didn’t think I would like how the peragon folds into the box when collapsing. Means I couldn’t fill the truck bed on a long haul trip and be able to open the cover since it would have to fold into what ever I was hauling back there. So settling on the retrax. And like option for the t rail system to add tracks for bikes or other things we want to haul.
I use a storage organizer to prevent items from sliding too far forward and preventing the peragon from opening. if you need the whole space, the cover pops right off as well as my cargo organizer bar.

A cool combination that can work very well together is the MX4 with the Elevate TS rails that add the option of the t-slot capability
On this I do want to point out is that Retrax covers do take up about 12" of bed space. The only reason I would suggest the MX4 in your specific situation is you are already concerned about losing bed space with the Peragon cover, the MX4 gives you the option of 2/3 bed access, full bed access, or the option to easily remove if desired.
Both are great options and as you know we offer some great pricing

One thing I do want to clear up as I have seen a few people say it on this thread and on others. When new generations come out, doesn't matter it is Ford, Ram, Chevy, Toyota ect. there are changes made to the beds. While yes the length may stay the same but different aspects of the bed change which causes covers to not fit properly from one generation to the next. While this is an inconvenience on having to buy a new cover we try to lessen that impact by offering forum special pricing. I'm not adding this as a sales tactic to get you to come to buy one from me immediately or at all, the purpose of this is to more to inform you all that have one of these covers and it isn't installed properly (swapped from one generation to the next), it can become a liability to you and not keep the bed secured properly from the elements or would-be thieves.

Would there be anything similar to the BAK X4S with rails? I'm loving the rolling covers for waterproofing but struggle with a tonneau for bulkier items.

I have a Diamondback cover on my work truck, it’s a great cover … ordering one for my IS 37, just can’t decide from the smooth or diamond plate finish…. Black obviously, shiny aluminum doesn’t work on a Raptor

same. hmmm I completely forgot about the diamondback ones.. but the HD is rated for 1600 lbs so you could put some serious weight on top of that lol but this is about as expensive as you can get.

I have the HD on my work truck, super rugged and still looks new after 7 years and if you break a part(handle, lift piston etc) you call them and it’s shipped within a day .. I know they are $$ but they are really nice covers

I've seen various pictures on their website but, how do you attach the tbars? Is there a rail or do you bolt them to the tee latches?

I’m highly considering the Tonneau covers USA “worker cover” w/t slot rails. its basically the same design as the retrax but addo a front tool box while still being a hard retractable cover AND can add in optional rails . Not cheap but checks off a ton of boxes for me.
