Only downside is hauling or running empty.  Fairly harsh ride with the 4" bumps.  Washboards are not friendly but doable.  This set up is as quick as equalizer hitch but I will say if I were to really haul distance I would run both and run the equalizer at a minimum just to aid the package.  I had a Platinum Max Tow 1/2 ton when I bought this truck and compared drop, and ride. No bs, static drop was the same.  Of course on the road the Raptor would fall short, but even with the 2.5" RPG it would be better than the stock Max Tow with this trailer and load.  The 4" simply handles it at level.</blockquote>
