I’ve got a ‘19, looked into CAI’s and finally decided on the Airaid. Decent mix of quality and price for full replacement. I’m not the strongest mechanically but all the descriptions of the mod looked pretty straightforward. There are no good videos for this specific mod out there. The one’s available on American Trucks, do NOT show how difficult this replacement is. I’m not disappointed with the quality though was taken aback that it wasn’t a pull out, replacement, air sensor placement, and done as is seen on so many CAI replacements. For my ‘19, they want you to re-route 2 hoses and replace 2 others unrelated directly to the CAI replacement conduits. The images on their instructions look very little like my engine bay. This is just a warning that it was quite a bit more hassle than I was led to believe by American Trucks.
I ended up contacting Airaid who finally let me know I didn’t have to do all the replacement and rerouting as long as the unit fit ok. Boy was that a relief as it required mods I didn’t feel comfortable with. Got it all hooked up and seems to be fine.
I do LOVE that the airflow pathway looks better than any others I’ve seen and the box housing the large K&N type filter is cavernous.
