AFE or Air Raid

ordered my 5star tuner late this summer and its been sitting in my office collecting dust till i get a intake, i have searched the forum and perhaps i now have info overload but here is my question... AFE with a lid or Air Raid for my 6.2 ? i live in Norcal and spend a lot of time driving in heavy rain, occasional stream/giant puddle crossings and lots of driving in the Sierras in snow.. Is the AFE with the lid at close to $100 more than the Air raid without a lid worth it? i just don't want to get water into the intake from normal driving as described above... am i worrying too much about water than i should?

to those with the AFE do you regret the decision to buy it and how bad does it drive when you need to revert back to the stock tune? lastly which of the two intakes is lower in volume or quieter in the cabin.

I don't know about AFE but my Airaid is pretty loud and I love it... BDRAG in the other hand didnt like it so thats why I bought it from him. The sound did diminish a little though once I put in the 93 performance tune with SCT.

Thanks for starting this thread. Same question. I'm trying to figure out why the AFE costs so much more. ...and I seen a "5" and a "7". Anyone knowledgeable on these, is that the tube diameter?

I asked many people the same question, it turns out with normal driving in heavy rain the air raid will be just as good as factory. So I ordered an air raid and I live in Seattle.
