Here's the cheap fix if you still have your stock intake. Disconnect the MAF connector and pull the engine side rubber bell and AFE tube out of the truck leaving the AFE filter housing and rubber coupler in place. Remove the MAF sensor. Cut 7.5 inches off of the engine end of the AFE tube. De-burr the cut end it inside and out. Apply a small amount of lube to the outside of the cut end and shove the AFE tube inside the stock tube (it’s a tight fit but it will but it will go in as far as the last wrinkle in the factory bellows section) and align the MAF flange so it faces the front of the truck. Install the modified intake tube and tighten clamps. Reinstall the MAF sensor and attach the connector. Take her for a spin. Notice that the annoying sound is gone but you still have a functional CAI that in my opinion flows better than the standard AFE.</p></blockquote><p></p>
