@Russ103 and anybody else hoping to get this R at MSRP, I'll tell you my personal stories , maybe other ppl have a different perspective and feel free to tell your story of the other end of the spectrum
My wife and I since about 2005 have bought roughly 14 ( give or take) vehicles and in doing so have built up a rapport with lots of dealerships , I have worked with dealerships and I have two family friends that own car dealerships. I say all that to say this......
I was asking a Ford fleet manager and general manager about the Gen 3 raptor allocation and also spoke about the R and this is what I was told, they have a regular customer that buys 10-15 fleet trucks a year since and last year near the end of the year that same customer needed a tax write off so he purchased 50 F-250 . That same customer buys a new raptor every 2 years and they sell it to him at invoice minus the holdback. I was also told if they get allocation for an R they will sell it to this customer at MSRP, if he doesn't want it they will have a 50k ADM.
Same situation at a Dodge/Ram dealership, the owner sold his first TRX allocation for MSRP to a customer that buys 10 trucks a year for his business. The owner has had 10 more trx and and 4 392 wrangler and all have sold for a minimum of 10k ADM ( a trx and 392 wrangler were sold to a player on the Raiders so odds are he got more than 10k adam for those)
So to get back to @Russ103 reply to me, yes you and me and a lot of other ppl are peons who I dont see getting our hands on an R. I feel like all of us who bought a raptor have more disposable cash to spend on toys than the average American/Canadian but the question becomes how much are you willing to spend? The same ppl here that just want the high HP pavement princess bragging rights are also competing with ppl who already have 4 or 5 300k exotics that just want to add this truck to the collection, and that's not even getting into local and global celebrities. I feel like sometimes ppl forget just how much money there is out there and ppl get fooled into thinking only the Kardashians have it.
Lastly my opinion is if you have a chance to get a Raptor R at 10k over MSRP get it in writing and sign the paper asap, or if u want the same thing and much less exclusive then wait for Ram to release the redeye version of the TRX. It will happen and odds are it will be better on pavement than a raptor R while being much cheaper .
Long rant but honest and not meant to throw shade at anyone , just perspective
