It definitely obstructs the camera.. basically the bottom half isn't much use esp. if you filled the hole with a LED lightbar.
Still, I used it on my attempt to visit Goose Lake in Red River, New Mexico last week. Made it up 4 miles worth, but there was hip-deep snow and the path was only about 10' wide and I didn't want to risk going off the side of the mountain, so I found a spot to turn around and went back down empty-handed. Good to try the truck out though; we don't have that kind of terrain where I live
I love the underbite appearance it gives the truck.
On mine, the top bar isn't perfectly level with the rest of the bumper (it's a fab shop, they can't all be bang on dead-nuts even I guess) so when I turn on the front camera it's a reminder of it because it is a bit exaggerated and appears several degrees off flat. Having said all that, I would endorse the company and the product. It feels strong and it's not even noticed the few things I've thrown at it so far.
