Getting up on 50k miles and wanted to gauge the forum members to see what you've done or what you plan to do at 50k.

I run my truck harder than the average raptor owner offroad. I also do all my own basic maintenance (oil, tire rotations, fluid checks, brakes, etc). But, if major preventative maintenance is suggested I'll probably take it to the dealer.

Anyways....suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
Matt

I'm coming up on this too in 2500 miles. I have a feeling it'll hurt a bit.

I'm at 52k and not sure what the book states but I'm thinking about having all the fluids changed, Trans, Radiator, and Diffs. Probably having the joints lubed and the shocks checked wouldn't hurt either.

Flushing everything head to toe sounds like a good idea. As I had stated on another thread, I still have the stock shocks on mine after 53k miles and am weighing the pros and cons of having them rebuilt versus trying to sell my wife on the idea of upgrading. :)

I'm about 6k away from 50. I plan on trans, brake and radiator flushes. Change fluid in Transfer case and front/rear diffs. My PS pump blew out after some wicked donuts, so that fluid is pretty new, otherwise I'd flush that too. I know it might be overkill, but it's insurance to me. I have like 10 years of payments left on this thing, so I need it to run!

Since I use my truck and maintain it myself, I am always keeping up on the fluids and maint. since I want it to be in top shape when I am pushing it to it's limits. I change my oil and check for leaks etc. at every 5K miles. I don't look at the big maint schedule because I make the changes often anyways. I'm 2k miles from 50k away and have already changed out front and rear diff's, brakes, power steering when I added the reservoir. Will be doing the transfer case soon and good idea about the radiator but I would check to see what was used at ford when they built it. Sometimes they use a 100K fluid that your just wasting your money replacing. I know the diesels they used 150K mile fluids. Just sayin that if your a regular user of your truck off road then your maint schedule should have already made many of these changes before 50K.
That's just my .02%
