[QUOTE="Badgertits, post: 2105636, member: 31322"] The pano roofs on domestic vehicles seem To be chintzier than the Germans IMHO On my ‘18 the roof didn’t leak…but when closed one panel wasn’t fully flush to the roof, you had to burn into your brain to NEVER push the “one touch open” button when it’s the first time getting into the truck after sitting overnight or for a while, esp if there was a big swing in temp/humidity, when you hit that button initially the 2 panels would be “stuck” together & when the front one dropped down it would pull the other piece down w/ it & put a lot of stress on the tracks/hinges- was definitely just a matter of time before it’d break….so you had to always press the “vent” button first where that front panel would pop up instead of dropping down. Then I found I would have to do a pretty thorough cleaning of the weatherstripping especially every 4-6 months & then apply that pricey krytox lube for it to stay smooth & quiet. In general? Having a huge hole in the roof of a vehicle probably isn’t the best idea regardless how good the tech may or may not be….i opted to go w/o when I got my ‘20 They also add a good bit of weight to the truck too. I live in MA I know Tasca & Route 24 Ford would sell an R @ MSRP, I haven’t checked recently on regular Raptor b/c I opted to just put some $$$ into my gen2 to keep it going, but I bet some deals can be had now stuff is def sitting longer on lots & fuel price + MA being highest cost of living in the country = not so confident $85-$100k+ trucks that get 15mpg @ best on 93 octane are selling like hotcakes. I have an appt tomorrow to have my Gen2 sorted out (def got something funky going w/ the evap/IWE system) I’m gonna do some tire kicking see what kinda firm offer they’d do on a new one….will report back.
