The Z06s are MSRP & deals can be had. The ZR1 #s really dampened the excitement on the Z06 lol, I’ve already been tempted, saw a mostly base C8 (had a few decent options nothing crazy) w/ 10k miles listed for $61k & I’m sure you could buy it for like $55-$-56k I wanna get a heavily depreciated low mileage one like that & got nuts on a turbo build (already have a built/cammed/blown/**** sniffin C5Z w/ 700+whp) will be a great combo of “old” and new. My neighbor got an R in the fall, paid $5k over, he just did the assault course not too long ago. Anyhow we both ran em against eachother & swapped trucks too recently, my 2020 Gen2 has a Gearhead 93 octane tune & is “light” for a Raptor being 801a w/ no sunroof AND I had noticeably lighter base non-forged wheels on w/ Nokian snow tires (snow tires are a bit lighter than K02s also), and I gotta say we were both surprised how well my tuned gen2 did against his R. Very close through 1/4 mile w/ the R probably just about a length ahead - not sure how accurate the Dragy device is but says my truck does 12.6-12.8 through 1/4 @ like 105-107, in his R it was showing 12.1-12.4 @ 109-112 Whether the actual results were accurate I dunno but I do believe the delta between the 2 trucks is about right- .4-.6 faster through 1/4 doesn’t seem like much but it is noticeable, also, while his truck was stock & had speed limited still I think the R would pull a lot harder than a tuned 3.5HO from higher speeds just removing the limiter, seems to have stronger top end pull. The exhaust note is wild, the experience is wild- while my gen2 is relatively quiet/composed inside the Gen3 is even more insulated especially w/ the 37”s & the coil springs (of course the Rs blower whine/exhaust is audible in cabin tho!) Would I pay $30-$40k more for an R than regular? Nope…but if I didn’t have any kids & didn’t drive the truck so much as a DD I can say they put those extra dollars to good work building the R
