If I fire up the A pillar XL80s even in rain, it’s no bueno.  A-pillar lights are great at firing long distance, not much value for close in lighting and overkill where there are street signs.  In dust, fog etc, the lights down low with a non “wide angle” spread do the best for me, the SAE lights also help as they have a wide spread but a hard height cut off that helps control the light reflected back at you.   I go for clear lenses, and amber rock covers.  Much simpler to swap the rock covers out than change the lenses.</blockquote>
