The 21-up don't even need lube on the seals.  They changed the seals to one that doesn't drag and stick.  Or creak and squeak.   I can't decide whether it has a lube impregnated in it, or it's just a rougher surface to it has less surface tension and doesn't stick as easily....or both.   If you rub one, it definitely feels slick.   Anyway, zero complaints of any noises or binding with these new glasses.   Added bonus: The seal is replaceable separately.  You don't have to buy the whole glass just to get a new seal anymore.  Goes for the rear one, too.   They also retrofit to the older ones, too.</blockquote>
