For those who ordered a ‘21, what was a reasonable or average amount of time to sit in unscheduled clean before getting a date? Trying to figure out on the ‘22s if there is a way to predict whether the order was placed with or without an allocation. In other words, how long should I wait in unscheduled before I place another order somewhere else?
It will depend on when they start scheduling, I ordered on 6/22 and received a VIN 7/1 (VIN means it is scheduled but could be to a week).

The wrench in all this for 22 is the fact that they are still finishing up some 21s. So nobody knows. I finally got a 22 ordered today and I’m anticipating 4-6 months+
And if it’s a dealer order or retail. It would probably get scheduled sooner if it’s a dealer order in the first round or 2 of scheduling. But you could also be waiting if they start retail scheduling somewhere in the middle of the run. So I would take a chance on having the dealer put it thru as a dealer order hoping it would schedule sooner in the run.

I would place a backup. No way to tell if your dealer has an allocation for a 22 other than there word. There were plenty that ordered early and were assured they had allocations but ended up having to reorder. A lot of customers got taken for by their dealers

Surprisingly, the GM friend I have said Ford has been prioritizing retail orders over dealer orders. He said with retail orders they are already “sold” when built and don’t have to sit on a lot, so it’s guaranteed money. Not sure how true that is but that’s the info I got and how he has had luck ordering Broncos

I was told something similar for the 2022 model year. They will be handing out allocations based on pre sold trucks.

What's the difference between priority 19 and 10. My 2021 order was 19 and after submitting it as a 2022, it got changed to 10.
So basically your dealer prioritized your 22 over all his other orders by making this one a 10. It only applies to his orders. It's not a competition between dealerships.

Never understood the priority numbered thing. Seems like it’s a different answer for everyone you ask on if it matters or not
