2022 Paint issue

What a shame. Its a great color for this truck and ford cant figure out something as basic as painting it.

Update. It’s taken this entire time for Ford to approve fixing the paint. My service rider just called said she got the greenlight and when can I bring it in, but I am conflicted. I’m nervous if they repaint it, it won’t be as good as factory, and I am also worried that it’ll show up on Carfax and make me lose a whole Lotta value of having a repaired truck.

My 22 is 3months old and my detailer saw a softball sized bubble on the hood, under the clear coat, last week. I spoke with my dealer and they said they will respray the whole hood as a factory defect repair. It will show up in Fords system as a warranty repair.

These arent exotics. Having a warranty repair isnt going to "crush" the value on a 80k truck. The values hold well already. The paint is a well known issue and will be pinged to a lot of Ford trucks in the used market in the next 2 years. I am not hesitating to have mine repainted.

Pretty sure just the roof and left rear fender.

Update. Finally got the truck fixed and they painted the whole roof and drivers side of the bed. Looks great and no more white spots.
