Just traded my 2001 F-250 crewcab 7.3 with 8" lift with 205,000 miles on 2019 Raptor with 801A package. 200 miles so far and getting used to the technology as compared to the 2001. Think I'm following the prompts to set the delay on headlamps. Clicked OK on 10 seconds but lights stay on well past. Tried it with just ignition on and also with engine running. What am I missing?

Welcome to FRF!

You’re probably not being patient enough for the truck. My Raptor lights stay on sometimes longer than I’m ok with and I try to wait out the truck. she stares at me, I stare at her and eventually either I turn away or she dims the lights. It’s kind of like a hard headed retriever in that way.

Did you say you bought a Magnetic color Raptor... like this:

Are you referring to auto lamp delay? That delay is to prevent them from turning on after the sensor detect darkness. If you drive through a underpass the lights won’t kick on until 10 seconds.

Edit. i misspoke. I got confused with the delay you can change in forscan and the setting in the menu selections. You should be able to have the delay setup but the headlamp switch has to be in auto and not to "on".

I assumed that the delay meant how long after ignition key removed before the lights would turn off thus not staying on until battery dead. Hey, I'm coming from an ancient technology in the 2001......

Welcome and congrats.
You're officially in the running to win the Soccer mom special Prius offered to (supposed) Raptor owners that don't post pictures of their (supposed) new Raptor. ;)

Did someone say Magnetic? Where is it? Don’t see it?

Congrats! Isn’t it nice to be in a modern truck again? I’m loving it!

See my edit above. Make sure your headlight switch is in auto rather than "on" to have the headlights turn off after shut off for specified time.
