After along wait my brand new 2019 F150 Raptor in Performance Blue, was delivered to me from my local Ford dealership here in Yangon, Myanmar (Rangon, Burma).
Was brought to me and parked outside my office and just an hour ago, I wanted to do my first test drive.
Since 35 degrees and hot here I pressed the key to do remote start and cool down a bit before entering, but just blinking lights and a beep and no start. I am familiar with the remote start from my old 2014 Gen 1 Raptor.
Getting into the car I started it up and noticed that there were no display of gauges after upper cpart of the display. Just black, no turbo pressure, fuel level et.
After 2 min of running, the main instrument display started to deteriorate, become garbled/ distorted and not able to read or see symbols.
Thought it could be the battery, so let it idke for 20 mins. Stoppet it and started again. This time the whole dashboard was black, but the speedometre and rpm counter flashed on every 20 seconds and then our again. All other black.
Still thinking that it was the battery, I took it for a spin. After 15 mins driving, the turning signals stopped working. Then three radio display went off and radio kept booting on and off. Dark outside and instrument display at all.
So not a great experience receiving a brand new Raptor from dealership in this condition.
Will bring to dealership first thing in the morning, but if anyone have an idea in regards to what this could be, feel free to send a reply or comment.
Should have been a day if joy, finally getting this wonderful machine. Instead just disappointment.
