I have read through most of the posts regarding class 3 or 4 hitches on a 2019 SCREW. I am looking to buy a MOOMBA MAX wakeboarding boat in the near future. It weighs 5700 dry on the trailer. Add 65 gallons of gas and gear and I am guessing I ould be up close to 7000lbs. I have a weigh safe adjustable hitch that will tell me what my tongue weight is. Is there a clear cut answer if we have a class 3 or 4 hitch?

The sticker under my truck says 5000lb max and 500lb max for tongue weight. I know you can buy a class 4 Curt hitch that goes below the current hitch, which I am not a fan of.

Thanks for any help.

How far are you gonna tow?
With my last F150 I had to borrow a trailer to tow my 23' Regulator. The trailer wasn't set up for the boat. had almost 800 lbs at the ball. Towed the boat 1 hour each way without incident.
