My '14 is 2600 miles old in Arizona. The fans are extremely loud with the A/C on. I had to go into a Culver's cause the fans were too hear over in the drive thu. My '10 XLT was never that loud A/C on or off. I called the dealer- they said normal. It seems excessive to me, but if I turn off the A/C it shuts the fans off a few minutes later usually.

Really glad I found this post, because my 14 fan is 5x louder than my `13 was. I was about to take it in for service. I am subscribing in case anyone knows what change was made and why.

ONE OTHER possibly related item, on my 2014 the auto AC levels seem not to work as well. As an example, if I get in the truck on a hot 98 degree day, I turn on the truck and the auto setting is on, set at 69 or 70 degrees, the air barely blows. I have to crank it down to LO to get it to come out hard and cool the truck down. It seemed like my 13 would handle this automatically. Anyone else notice this?

Wow, my 2013 has very loud fans. Hard to imagine 5X louder than my 2013. My truck AC is fantastic however and I am pretty sure it's because the fans move so much air over the condenser

It's so loud on my '14 that I hesitate to use remote start to let the truck cool down in my driveway because the neighbors have a new baby and I don't want to keep it from sleeping. My other F150 (2013 5.0) isn't anywhere near as loud so I just chalked it up to being a Raptor/6.2 thing. Interesting that they are louder than previous model year Raptors.

Wonder if I can buy another fan from Ford and plug it in on my patio to cool us down now that it's triple digits outside? Nah, better not...I'd hate to have to yell over the damn thing to ask the wife to bring me another beer.

Fans came on for the first time today (after driving and sitting in 97* weather) and although not quite as loud as any of my powerstrokes (sounds like an actual turbine under the hood) they are pretty loud for a gas rig.

The fan on my '14 raptor is super loud too. Sounds as if the fan is spinning way faster than my previous 6.2 I had I'm my '12 Harley f150. Sometimes it sounds like it's going to take off like a helicopter
