I know ... Not a Raptor , but it has the heart of a Raptor ....

I have a 2013 Ford F150 XLT Crew with the 6.2L in it .... I added a K&M Cold Air Intake .... and just finished installing a set of Doug Thorley Headers ( really NICE !!! ) and topped it off with some Flow Master's ....

In case anyone is wondering .... 14 city and 15.5 hwy ... now .

Question .... after all was installed .... from a slow rolling start when I WOT ... I get a hesitation ... kinda a dead spot for a second or so ... then off it goes .... no problem ..... wasn't there before the headers ....

Before I put the headers on ... I told my dealer what I was doing and they said it may need to be re-tuned after the instalation ... Do you think that will take care of the hesitation ??? If not ???

What do you guys think ?

Thanks ........

Traction control? Try turning it off then doing a WOT launch takeoff

I don't think it's a good idea to be talking to the dealer about tunes. That something you do that the dealer might not appreciate... :happy160:

So you are going to ask the dealer to tune your truck for aftermarket headers that most likely will void your warranty? Do you think a) the dealer will even do this for you b) would you really want them too? C) do you have any custom tuning shops in AL? D) call 5 Star

Good luck...

Before I put the headers on ... I asked my dealer if it would void warrenty and they said no , but to keep all the old exhaust parts just in case .... On the tune , the mechianic at the dealer said NO on any after market tune untill after warrenty ... but he said there was something they could do , after I got the headers on ??? I have not been back to talk to them yet .
