RR, thanks for that professional review of those bulbs. You answered all of my questions for sure. Still waiting to see if there will ever be a housing mounted 50W ballast...

Thanks,
HAP

Do you mean a 50w version of the OEM ballast?

We now mount the 50w morimoto ballasts on the headlights so all that's needed is to install the wire harness and its all plug and play.

I was looking at the specs comparing the Ultinon bulbs you linked and the Xtreme Vision bulbs. It seems the Xtreme Vision bulbs specs are slightly better than the Ultinon. Its color temperature is closer to natural light and the lumen rating is higher as well.

I was thinking the same thing...the price difference is about a $100, so worth noting, but I was confused on the spec difference b/t both lights...and would love for Raptor Retrofit to please explain...

I have a 14' Raptor, and while having an array of Rigid Lights, I've never been happy with the OEM HID set up...and would love an improvement, and thanks to Raptor Retrofit I now Know why the lights don't impress me ;-)

+1. I'd be interested in pics as well in case I decide to upgrade the stock 2012 HID's that I currently have retrofitted in my 2011 at some point.

My main reason for going for the full OEM headlights was that I liked the cleaner look of the headlight housing mounted ballast etc.

Thanks it does help. However, that set up does not look as integrated as the 35W ballast. Is that the OEM HID light?

The Raptor Retrofit product with the 50w ballast rocks period end of discussion(loved mine). The bulbs the OP speaks of are pretty much crap compared to the Osram. Listen to someone who knows of what they speak of RR does--a fool and his money are soon parted.

I just purchased the Phillips xenon D3S and they are generic with no mounting tabs to fit them into the headlights. They cost $240 shipped and are a big let down. Just say no to these bulbs! Now I'm going to attempt to get my money back... So how much for the HID retro fit?

See my post above.... Do the research first.... Usually bulbs are not returnable just chalk it up to experience.
