Is that Tuxedo black or Ebony (non-metallic) black? I can't tell by looking at the pics on my phone.

to me, it looks ebony. BUT, like SPRSNK posted, it says tux. black. I am guessing tux black has less flake in it now, possibly because of a new pigment source, or change in the mixture?????

The 10-11 tux. black's had a lot more sparkle :ROFLJest:

Possibly, or it could be overcast and the flake is not popping.

that truck is 11 years newer than my 01....yet they still get the same mileage...i wonder if theyre ever gonna make a v8 somewhat economic..I know its not really meant to be and i dont have a problem with that...but still... I really like those wheels might change mine up to be able to run 6x135s

Until Ford can bend the laws of physics it isn't going to happen....the 6.2l is extremely fuel efficient. The 100lb wheels, massive suspension, hydraulic steering, weight, and air brake aerodynamics of the Raptor are not.

I've got the same gripe man! Yes the trucks are heavier, yes the truck has more hp, but no reason why it can't have even marginally better mileage. They've done it on the mustangs, heavier cars, bigger cars, way more hp, and still excellent mileage. But till most people get their heads out of their azzes and push for better mileage in trucks rather than just accept it, it'll continue to be ont he bottom of the list for improvements. The trends seem to be starting to change, the V6 ecoboost accounts for something like more than 50% of the engine sales for 2011 trucks, they just need to keep moving with those advancements.

They don't need to bend the laws of physics. And the raptors 100 lb wheels aren't like they're 50 lbs heavier than any wheels before. Rubber is lighter than metal, earlier trucks with 20" or 22" wheels weigh just as much if not more. My 00 HD truck wheel/tire combo weighs 95 lbs a pop.

There's still a good amount of stuff Ford can do to improve mileage on trucks. And the 6.2 is an outdated dinosaur before it even hit the trucks, just look at the differences where it lags behind the other drivetrain lineup that are touting improved performance and improved fuel economy over previous year drivetrains (3.7 V6, 3.5 TT V6, 5.0 V8). Aluminum blocks, 4v heads, electric power steering, direct injection.

I strongly believe the 6.2's days are limited. I bet within a few years it'll share the base powerplant with the 2013 Shelby with a 5.8L aluminum block 4v V8, just as the N/A varient while the Shelby is the s/c varient. And it'll probably make more hp as N/A than the 6.2, and better mileage.
