On my 2012 2500HD Z71, the basic system understood prompts in a "conversational" manner. Example: if I was in an unknown area, I could just hit the voice prompt button and say "take me to the nearest McDonalds" or "call Tiffany" In the MFT system, if I wanted to the the exact thing I would have to say "navigation.
