Looking to get a 2012-2014 Gen1 Raptor. Any big issues to look out for before purchasing?

Extra attention when you get it.

Shocks have to be rebuilt at 60k, fuse 27 relocate bulletin (fries the fuse and leaves you stranded), consider tires are $1000-$1100 to replace, crawl underneath and look for dirt, sign of some else having fun with it, run carfax, run the vin through Ford for any information regarding service, and outstanding recalls...best of luck.

Rebuilding would be a lot cheaper than buying new shocks that's for sure. The fuse issue a common problem with them and after relocating it are there any issues reported? I figured the tires were going to be expensive and I'm sure people had fun with it.

once fuse is relocated no issues. GEN1 is a solid truck with no gremlins to be concerned with.

Another TSB is 13-06-08 RR Lead frame in Transmission. will check engine light and truck will not shift.

Good to know. I haven't found to many issues with the Gen1 Raptors just small minor issues that can easily be fixed. There's a dealership that has a 2013 for sale with 78k miles for $37k seems a bit much to me where I've found a 2011 with 18k miles less for $30k. Not sure if they changed much from 2011-2013.

go for the 2013. redesigned dash, air conditioned seat, front camera, torsen diff, stronger frame. even with the 2011 at 18k miles you can still have leaking or blown shocks

True, about the shocks. I'm going to check it out on Monday after work. If I come home with it I think my wife will probably kill me! Hahaha

I would definitely buy the 2013. Just tell your wife you paid under $30k. lol

from the pics looks like a truck that someone just drove it. still stock form suspension. guarantee needs shocks rebuilt.
