The 5.4 is an awesome motor and the truck performs great with it.

I know its all in the owner's preference, but if I had my way after having my 5.4 in my 2010, I would have gotten the same motor in my 2013. You can only go so fast with a truck like this, so what if it takes you a second longer to get to 70 mph? The 5.4 is a nicely shifting, smooth motor. I never had an issue with mine.
