1972 Buick Skylark - CA Blue Plate Car

Selling my 1972 Buick Skylark. Original California car. Extremely SOLID, original, and rust free in all the usual places. ~56,6XX miles

Last year of the classic and ever popular A-body style!

Purchased recently with the intent of pro-touring the car but with a pending career change I have to adjust my priorities and cut back on projects. All I’ve done is bleed the brakes and vacuum the interior.
Runs and drives great! Starts every time, smooth idle and comfortable ride. Ready to go weekend cruiser or perfect candidate for restoration or pro-touring.

Car is located in Carlsbad, CA. $5950 OBO. Motivated Seller!

Car is extremely original and complete, down to the smog pump and manifold.

Drivetrain:
Original and complete Buick 350, 4BBL Turbo 350 auto trans
Power brakes, factory discs in front
New dual exhaust, Flowmaster type mufflers with that drop at the axle

Body:
Straight and solid
Rockers, drip rails, window corners and frames rust free
Minimal surface rust in center of trunk
Windows function smoothly

Electrical:
All gauges work
Headlights, high beams, turn signals, hazards, brakelights and dome light all work
PO installed push button start underneath the dash
JVC stereo that’s iPhone / CD compatible wired in dash

Interior:
Original and complete. Mild sun fading but otherwise great.
Door cards in excellent shape. Small chip in driver’s side arm rest.
Lap and ceiling mounted shoulder belts.
HVAC functions work, AC doesn’t blow the coldest

The bad:
Looks to have had a Maaco scuff and spray in the past. Sun baked patina on the roof and chipped clear coat in a few spots. I’ve taken pictures of the worst offenses below:

My Dad was a Buick guy. He also had a Skylark, but a few years earlier than this one. I remember it had some touchy brakes -- wow -- good brakes but very sensitive. I remember I borrowed the car one night and unfortunately bottomed-out on a dip in the road and scraped-off the exhaust...Dad fired that thing up the next morning and it loud -- sounded like some of our Raptors...lol...not a good morning for me.

Both video clips make the engine sound like the lifters or rods are knocking? What's your take on this?

I got the same question from some of the potential buyers so I made a third video.

The lifter tick you're hearing is actually the smog pump clattering away. Ran over the engine with a stethoscope and the valve train is nice and quiet.

Car is SOLD.
