I have a 2010 5.4 L, and I think I might need to replace the vacuum tubes. (I'm hearing the grinding from one front wheel and banging from the other.) The truck originally came with vacuum hose assembly with part number AL3Z-7A785-E , but it has been discontinued. I can get my hands on a...
New owner of a used 2020 Raptor. It is gold certified so I do have a warranty but wanted to get some opinions before I visit the dealer on Tuesday.
First heard a grinding noise a few days after I took delivery. Happened at low speeds not long after I left my driveway but also heard it at low...
Does anybody have trouble-shooting suggestions for this with my 2010 5.4 L?
Flipping the knob into 4L or 4H results in a "CHECK 4x4" message displaying in the IC, but no other indicator lights illuminated. Torque doesn't show any DTCs. There's no grinding sounds. The transfer-case motor is new...
I had the notorious metal rattle noise upon acceleration and a check 4x4 light. I replaced the vacuum line and solenoid in the engine bay but that didn’t do the trick. Crawled underneath to find out that the braided line for the brakes was worn down all the way to the bare metal. I don’t think...
Hello friends! (n00b here)
I have a 2011 Raptor, am having grinding noise in the front and vibration in the gas pedal.
I have changed the wheel bearing hubs, and am about to change the actuators along with the cv axles.
Before I do this, I would like to replace seals on the front differential...
I hope I'm posting this in the right place!
I, of course, have developed an IWE problem. I've been hearing a rattling/grinding noise on and off at highway speeds for maybe the last 4k miles. I originally thought it was a loose bolt, and basically convinced myself o that when I found a very...
My 2019 with less than 10000 miles is having that possible vacuum problem. The dealership is really trying to ************ get it. They said they couldn't duplicate and they only have one trans tech. I don't think they know what the hell they're doing. Is this something I should fight over? Is...
Hey All,
I probably should have posted and introduced myself long ago, but just been lurking since 2013. I'm the original owner of a 2014 Screw with 68k miles. It's been put through the paces with plenty of dirt miles together with rather meticulous maintenance.
So yesterday on the way home...
At 113k miles my 2011 started to sound like it was “kicking a Tin can” down the road. After a little research I found the vacuum line to the IWE on the passenger side to be cracked. Luckily ford failsafe with no vacuum is to 4WD. So I could drive it around in 4WD if needed without the “tin can”...
