Sure glad his brother is no longer my governor. I am however concerned about how much further left the state will go now with his replacement.
That emblem is the NYS coat of arms. Probably some get out free jail card that all LEO's know about in the state.
I ordered mine with a sunroof. At the time it was my daily and thought the benefit was worth it, especially working in a steel mill. More airflow after a summer shift was appealing. Now it is no longer my daily and I haven't opened it in 3 years. I am too afraid to break a track in doing so...
My only concern was that they wouldn't thread in. You seem to have that well under control though. At one point I had sourced longer bolts and stayed with metric. I thought Grade 8 had slightly higher tensile strength than the 10.9. Either way negligible I'm sure. Sounds like you should be good...
I hail from the Syracuse NY area. Rust is our largest domestic product. I have a 2013 ordered and bought.. original owner, that is still perfect. Amsoil HDMP is what I use and will use exclusively. Check out this comparison thread...
I've got a new Ranger for my daily and winter rat. I like it well enough, but I hate the motor. Seems like Ford added the Tremor to appease everyone wanting the Raptor Ranger here in the states. ICON, FOX, and KING all make shocks for them, which is all Ford added to the Ranger plus the Tremor...
Hey @Loufish @Raptor18Actual @NOC7URN or anyone else with one. Any way you could get me the diameter of the main tube running across the front of the bed the straps wrap around? I have one coming in next week without any finish. I want to get some more tubing to fab something up so that I can...
Yeah our winters suck. Damn salt and brine is the worst. I hate rust in the worst way.
These new rangers are a big change but I like it. I too did a 2 year lease to see how much I would like it. I was a bit nervous about being so small but it has been a great little truck for me. There are a...
I have a '84 Ranger I got from my uncle with over 300K on it. Sure the heat sucks and leaks rain water into the cab like all Gen1 Rangers, but it still starts and runs amazing. Most often it is my daily in summer months. I want to keep miles down on my Raptor and I don't drive the '84 or the...
Rebuilds are great and definitely needed over time. Just don't waste your time with a fly by night half ass shop. Depending on where you are located some may be able to advise on a repeatable shop.
I am looking at ones here in New York (NY) and the Northeast. All similar in price but I need to take into account at least 2 winters of salt and brine here.
I guess it didn't take Ford long to take down the site and redirect to the fiesta. Trying to throw us off another week before it goes live.
Looking back more closely I guess I was looking at the 4x4 variant of the Ranger compared to the 4x2 f150.
Not knowing what all specs were selected, but...
I was looking forward to these coming out for a little daily. Up until I saw the pricing. Might as well get a f150 for what Ford wants for these. 2k difference in base price lariat between the two.

Good info guys thanks for sharing. I've got the off-road guide book, Rand McNally atlas, annual park pass, park brochures, and researched and planed but more is always better.
roybot I will be there Sunday evening through Tuesday around Moab, and Arches before heading on if you see a Gen1 Black...
