Hotel is booked, awesome rate! We will be leaving St Louis around 4pm on Jan 11th and driving to either Rockford or Milwaukee, then driving the rest of the way on the 12th. So if anyone wants to caravan up, let us know.
I registered for one of them. Now to get the wife excited about snow and freezing temps. This isn't exactly the Florida trip she wanted to do in January.
Looks like the Raptor will be getting a few early Christmas presents as well.
I need to call the Casino tonight, their website is saying...
Count me in for 2015! The wife and I were just discussing that we still wanted to make it out here so I started digging for any discussion of a return. Now with the camper, I am coming whether I am sick or not.
Had something similar happen to our neighbor across the street. Was a dent and downward arching scratch. He came over to see if anyone had been at our house and maybe backed into him. We hadn't had any guest and someone backing in would have left a straight dent/scratch.
Then we were talking to...
Stock 2013 with 11k miles, been averaging 13.5 mpg driving the way I want too in mixed driving. Highway trips running 70-80, I average about 15, sometimes 15.5 mpg. Did one backroads trip 250 miles of driving like a grandpa and keeping it under 65mph, pulled 17.2 mpg for the trip.
I will say...
Insurance called last night. They are repairing roof, a-pillar, fender and hood. Putting new windshield and hood graphic. So far $4000 worth of damage. Will update the estimate once the glass is cleaned up and headliner is out so they can see if there is any other damage.
Now I am back to the...
Yeah, I have actually handled this pretty well, can't say that I would of a few years ago. Heck we are just excited cause the neighbor just texted that we have power finally.
I have been wondering if I could fight progressive for depreciation value and get them to cut me a check for the...
Looks like ya'll had a blast. My last couple of weeks has just went down hill. Not only did I get sick and miss the run, I worked on the interior for a buddies '49 Ford and got it finished while I was sick, we have been working on it for 18 months, thrashing for the last 6 months. Headed to its...
Well this is a post that I was hoping I wouldn't have to make. It looks like ya'll will be one truck down, we've made the decision today to stay home.
I work at a College of Nursing and according to several of our nurse practitioners, this is a virus that is going around. Two other people at...
Got the tool box mounted yesterday.
Not feeling any better though, did one flight of stairs and felt like I wanted to drop over.
Can't get in to see my doctor for 3 weeks and can't see anyone in his office this week. So I may be going to a "Doc in a Box" soon.
Lol, wish it was that simple. I do nasal flushes, two different nasal sprays, allergy pill and allergy shots for my allergy problems. I have been trying to cough up a lung with whatever this is.
Good new - Picked up my tool box yesterday.
Bad news - spent the week in NY for training and got sick while I was there. Trying to recover from that and hoping Debbie doesn't catch it. Bad cough, drainage and sinus migraines doesn't mix well with 50 degree camping.
Yeah, I will tie down some stuff with factory tie downs in the bed. Then have most things in the bags to put in the back floor board of the truck. Just hate having all of the
stuff riding around in the floor like bags of tools, shovel, jacks, etc. just in case of a bad accident on the highway...
Our tent is 7'x14'. I think it is rated at 6 people, but we rough it with a queen size air mattress in one end and papasan camp chairs and cooler in the other end.
We are getting excited, really looking forward to it. Running out of time though, have done some packing for camping equipment and truck stuff/tools.
I had a new weatherguard tool box that I had bought for my old truck and never installed. Thought I was going to be able to modify it to fit...
Yeah, I had only run across the satilite view of that one on google maps while checking out the area. It shows up on a couple of sites with the address when searching for Mobile station. So I called and asked the guy if they had gas, could here the tone what kind of silly question is that when...
Cool, we'll probably setup down at the end of 77 as close to the creek as we can. That way we are out of the way as much as possible for when everyone starts setting up, our tent is 7'x14' so I don't want to hog the smaller areas.
On google maps there looks to be a Mobile station about 1/2 mile south of the camp ground on the west side of 385. Is that not open?
Edit:
Just called and they are 1/2 mile south of Wild Bill's Campground.

We don't need the power, was just going to bring extension cords and lights if it was going to be there. Already have the lanterns packed.
Was planning on setting up on 75 or 76 if the are our spots. Figured we would take advantage of having the covered table to cook and eat at. Speaking of...
