How is the Raptor over weight? On the door sticker for legal payload is 1250ft lbs. As you said UTV weight is 2100lbs, and trailer is let's say even 1300lbs up from your 1100. 3400 total.
Raptor legal (unsafe) towing Capacity :8200lbs
Trailer Weight of above: 3400lbs.
10% tongue weight as you...
Holy misinformation batman... Let's take a Raptor with an 8200lb towing capacity. The truck sags BADLY with a 3500lb trailer with a side by side on it. Less than half of legal rated towing capacity. WAY under payload. But if it sags it's over weight... LOL. Sure.
It's not even that. I've tried to use the wireless charger with the truck stationary and idling and even then I had to mess with it for a few mins for it to stay charging, and then it charged something like 20% in 2 hours. Useless.
Oh for that weight it'll be perfectly happy with a custom leaf pack or airbags and still be a Raptor.
Don't waste money and get the ****** ride etc of a 3/4 ton. If you have to just go to a Tremor F150 and add airbags.
Again though with some minor mods the Raptor is fine with that.
How heavy is the trailer you bought? If it's 7000lbs or under, heavier leafs and a properly setup weight distribution hitch it will work just fine. STOCK they squat badly towing a side by side...
Northern Canadian here. Duratracs suck. Especially after they have any more than 10k on them, sipes are ony the first few mm.
Falken At3w is # 1 IMO, KO2 2nd.
The price of the truck is irrelevant, Why would someone who bought a raptor get a loaner, yet someone who bought say a 10k cheaper platty shouldn't? Nobody cares it's a raptor. They want it for 48h to diagnose it so they can book it in to fix it... I knew there was more to the story.
Highest i've seen (albeit pulling a huge mtn in the rockies at 90mph) on road is 215 which didn't really worry me. The 227 offroad in cool temps worried me.
I've messed with it in every setting and gave up and turned normal wipers back on... It just wouldn't work. Random wipes across clear and dry windshields were very common, and then it would rain and the damn thing wouldn't come on. Once it finally rained I would keep turning the sensitivity up...
Curious what is "safe" for a trans temp offroad? Pushing the truck pretty hard but it was very cool out today, 15c (60f) and still got to 109C (227f)
Thoughts? Is that within operating specs? Seems hot. I would worry when it's 110f out what the temp will be...
Interesting! I hadn't thought of the problem that way.
To me, being basically thrown off the road sounds like a shock setup issue. I would like a king or fox upgraded coil but the research i've done (fairly extensive...) has told me the factory shocks are hard to be improved upon... I wonder if...
