Ford took care of me in the end and I ended up with full cash back plus a few K extra - ended up with a 2023 Code Orange 37 package, which I absolutely love….Blue Antimatter is pretty too…..almost 10K miles and only small issues - had a computer module not taking the update - fortunately they...
In the end Ford did make it right….was frustrating as hell because the limited communications for several weeks….but once it got to the buyback team they were amazing and offered a very fair deal to buy my truck back and thanks to some folks on here I am now driving a 2023 Raptor 37 - Code...
Cool - thanks for your feedback - not asking you to believe anything I am saying…..it hasn’t been hassle free - it’s been less than that……just telling the story - I have a 91K that isn’t driveable and get at best, a weekly canned email with zero information. It’s been frustrating…..
That’s the question - my 3rd F150 in 3 years - 2021 Platinum powerboost / 2022 Platinum powerboost / 2023 Raptor 37 package - I’ve been a Toyota guy for years but tech in the F150s blow Toyota away…..this latest issue with the gateway module has left a sour taste for sure…..customer service...
Haven’t spoke to the buyback specialist (RAV) specialists yet….expect to hear from them tomorrow. Did they cut you a check or was it done at the dealer where the truck is sitting?
Agree - my preferred outcome was get my truck back and fixed…..it amazes me they are willing to buy it back over a failed part…..probably a part that doesn’t fail often so they weigh the risk reward - they sell 10K units and have one failed - they are still doing ok……just sucked it was me that...
Latest update - no ETA on part. Ford iniitiated the buyback process and my case has been sent over to the reacquisition vehicle (RAV) team….waiting to hear from them and what options they will propose…..I guess that part, the gateway module is just not available…..
What if I don’t have a payment? I have the title - I’m still out 91K and I still have to pay insurance and property tax on it…..that continues to add up as well….
Day 24 - very little comms from dealer and Ford customer service. Latest, Monday, was the part is still on back order. My customer rep doesn’t even respond to questions - provides me a “weekly”‘update where the email is 90% canned…..
Concur - I’ve had luck with doing the same thing with Toyota - for some reason I can’t find anyone’s email and it’s not out there like I thought it would be…..I am working directly with Ford customer service and have been assigned a customer service rep / case number etc - but that’s as far as...
I don’t want to do either - I hopeful this gets resolved…I just wish Ford would communicate better….just give me my damn truck - not asking for much…..how about pull from the production line?
All good - appreciate the advice….bottom line I just want the truck - I realize if I do the buyback crap I’m still out a truck and they take the loaner back too…….I just want the truck man - that’s all I want…..
Again- all good, I am venting but I am also looking for advice so I do appreciate...
You’re right - I apologize for being so inconsiderate. I’ll just continue to make payments on 91K and drive a lesser vehicle for as long as it takes - no big deal - I’ll pay the property tax on it and just suck it up….I won’t worry about the lack of information or the the fact they have no idea...
Oh and my case manager is worthless - incompetent and he definitely doesn’t give a shit - said he would update me weekly…not even sure I want to continue with Ford…..
Here is what my dealer said:
Jeff,
We have no responsibility when it comes to buy backs. A buy back is through the manufacturer and you said you were discussing with them. I said if there was anything I can do to help to please let me know. Ford the manufacturer are the only ones who can...
