I have one of these cheap vinyl roll up covers that mounts low between the bed rails rather than on top.
Clears my bed rack, doesn’t eat a ton of bed space like a slider, and is very cost effective.
I’ve had it for about three years with zero issues.

You can also program custom codes so you don’t have to use the factory one. Mine is the same as my front door so my kids can all remember it.
You can also have more than one code. I set a separate emergency code I can give people since I am involved in youth sports and have a large first...
This is amazing and I’m watching with glee!
So I can continue to live vicariously through you, you should convert your garage doors to high-bay with wall-mount jack shaft openers. That way they are tight to the ceiling and your fancy lights will be even fancier.
These guys sell DIY parts...
I have an Uptop Overland rack on mine and lust over the Xtrustion stuff. Their detailing and accessories are top notch. It’s also extremely easy to customize with the t-slot 80/20 design, so really a good setup.
The primary thing I dislike about my rack, or bed racks in general, is you...
I've been considering adding bags for when I camp and the truck squats a ton. If you can get them off cleanly and we can figure out what they are I'd trade you for my OEM bumps (I'm also in WA, but southern).
Like StangGT5 said, the width is the biggest "issue" you would have with either truck.
I also went with a Gen1 and love it. While this has been beaten to death, I'll list my primary considerations:
- Bulletproof V8. The base of this engine is in a lot of the work trucks that see abuse and...
Well, I learned some interesting things at least.
To help me understand more - if we are in 4H the transfer case is “locked” 1:1. What about 4Low?
Also, not to be obstinate, but this discussion makes it sound like all transfer cases are locked by default. If so, then why do Landcruisers...
Nice truck for sure.
I don’t regret buying mine at all, but quirks that I guess I wasn’t expecting:
- you really start to notice bad parking lot design. Narrow spaces suuuuuck. Parking next to another raptor in narrow spaces is kinda comical. You can get out of the truck but barely fit...
I literally found this this morning after seeing this thread. I’d noticed some extra condensation on my interior windows, but headliner around the sunroof felt dry…. Just checked the back and found where it’s coming from.
Either the window or 3rd brake light, I’ll address them both to be safe.
Terrible pics, but got them mounted up and absolutely love them!
Tires are 37x13.5r17 Cooper Discoverer STT Pro. Wouldn’t have gotten a 13.5 if they weren’t rediculously cheap. I’ve done pinch welds and they don’t rub on normal driving, but rub on compression when turned.
Current...
“Cradle” appears to be exactly what I was looking for. Thanks. Found lots online now.
Did you have specific airbags to go with them? Some of the ones I’m seeing online indicate they fit all 6” diameter airbags.
I'm trying to respond to your PM but it says "closed to conversations". Or possibly I'm blind and not seeing a button.
I would LOVE to take the tophats off your hands. That's a very generous offer. Do you accept venmo, paypal, apple pay?
I agree. Never would have bought spacers myself. I already have eibachs in a box on the floor ready to install along with freshly rebuilt shocks. I was mentally prepping for the install and thought the shock mount looked off.
Although I did search, the "similar threads" function at the bottom is apparently pretty good. Suggested this thread, which has the same exact question:

I literally just created a thread with this same question. I DID search, but the "similar threads" AI thing at the bottom is apparently pretty smart.

By lookin at the pics of the side...
Thank you! Comparing these it certainly looks like the previous owner may have installed a leveling spacer. I was worried that adding 2.5-3" of front end height with the eibachs was going to make it crazy nose high.
This is the only similar pic I can find online, which I think might be a Gen 2. The top of shock looks much more seated in there, which makes me wonder if I have spacers:
My big concern is really trying to understand what the final height will be.
I recently picked up my 2012 SCREW and was looking into leveling with a set of eibach springs.
I was measuring the existing height, and it's closer to "level" than I expected. From what I've seen my front end is higher than many people posting measurements, so I checked the shock and it...
Subscribing because this I'm also looking into because the weight in my bed varies soooo much depending on the trip I'm taking, or even occasional towing.
I'm researching long travel airbag setups, and also airbags that are designed to detach from the cup at full droop so it won't limit...
