No actually my DDM melted. They replaced the GWM before they found this melted DDM. So the GWM that they replaced , may have still been in good condition. The GWM wasn’t getting communication when tested . After they replaced the GWM , he found that the GWM was still not getting communication...
The OTA came through and all connectivity issues are restored. Off subject any idea about squeaky front shocks; took it to the dealership 3 times and apparently they couldn’t hear it. Every time I took it there, it rained so the squeaky noise wasn’t apparent.
Last and final update:
So because the tech did a master reset at the time of the GWM & DDM repair, the modem went into a deep sleep. And Ford tech told me to wait 10-14 and the modem would reactivate on its own.so I waited; a recent customer satisfaction bulletin suggested pulling fuse 32 to...
So the latest update. Ford attempted to push the updates through FDRS to the truck . Nothing worked to get the connected features back. However I did speak to the Ford Technology Team , who is familiar with my issue. Because of the module repairs the tech had to do a master reset, which...
Go to my thread; just had a DDM burn up. The dealer replaced my DDM and GWM; now all my connected features aren’t working. Yesterday Ford pushed a Customer Satisfaction Program related to a software issue with the GWM, TCU and APIM. Basically there is a known issue with the last OTA, so the...
Crazy, they are pushing the updates as we speak. Ford Released a Customer Satisfaction Program addressing this issue. Basically the dealer is pushing the GWM update (possibly the TCU and Apim) . Which basically will include the OTA that won’t be released until March. But Ford’s Engineers found...
So strange that you mentioned this , my dealership called today and mentioned the customer satisfaction program regarding this same issue . They doing the same GWM update tomorrow morning.ill shoot you my VIN in the morning and let you know how it goes.thanks in advance
Update:
The connectivity issues I’m experiencing are because while my truck was at the dealership, the last OTA update was failed due to the battery being disconnected for the work they were doing. Because of that issue I was disconnected with FordPass which controls all the connected features...
I got the truck fixed , they got the Door Module (DDM). Got it back Thursday last week. However whatever they with the Gateway module; now ALL my connectivity is down (Wireless CarPlay, hotspot, FordPass, Alexa….etc) and when I start up the 12” prompts me for a driver ID. I’m guess they loaded...
Update:
I was told today by the dealership, that the door module is on a nation wide back order, with no ETA and no eta on the repair.
I did lodge a complaint with Ford CS, which was of very little help. However Ford Performance was able to give me tips on how to escalate the issue. First was...
I’ll definitely post an update when I finally get the truck back. Just hope they find everything related and I get it fully repaired.
I’ll post the outcome, so others know what issues to look for.
Believe me I’m definitely lodging a complaint at FORD. Today marks the one year anniversary, I took delivery of this truck, and this happens. Hopefully I get some kind of compensation
Update:
Gateway module installed. Some systems still showing a fault. They back traced to the driver door module . Which is melted, it visually looks fried. They just ordered the part overnight and are installing it tomorrow. They are still unsure of the cause; my guess the BLISS sensor...
Update:
gateway module part arrived at the dealer . The Part will be installed tomorrow; and I should have the truck back at the latest Friday. Being a little skeptical I questioned the Techs Diagnostics ; and they said that Ford has established parameters for diagnostics for Modules, it’s an...
