I think it is hilarious RAM covered the RHO when it is basically the same truck with just a different motor.... perhaps they should have just covered the motor and did the Tadah! thing for it! lol
All kidding aside... at least RAM made Ford give us more power so as they say... competition...
I was excited about the FP Tune until I realized I lived in CA and the progressives in power here are far too green and hard up for EVs to let us have a performance tune in this state. I was able to install the tune on other FP vehicles previously in CA so apparently things have changed...
I will wait and see if the Cybertruck fails off road like the GMC EV Hummer due to excessive weight even though the Cybertruck is lighter than the Rivian (not that good off road either). Hell, EVs and off roading in general is not a good mix.
So no real interest but I do appreciate Tesla for...
Not much available in CA but I did manage to get:
DRTMODE in Black and Gold (vintage plates).
I was originally trying to some kind of FULLSND or pork chop express (PKCHEXP) plates but no go!
I believe the main issue is that many competitors have front and rear lockers (even the new Colorado and Canyon). For the price point I do not see why the Raptor's do not have front lockers!
At least you got a build date OP. Early this year the dealership I ordered through literally calls me out of the blue to say my truck will be arrive in a few days. The entire process was skipped over but the truck was in perfect condition. Zero rust.... looked like straight from the factory floor.
Set from ebay (Auto-Nations Universal Mudflaps) and they are flat and perfect to fill the gap but require a little work to get the holes right (use piece of paper to make a stencil of the lower wheel arch for the holes) .
I live in Cali so it is safe to assume larger mud flaps may be needed in...
Dang... Raptor Assault came out in 2017 so you should have had 3 chances to go! So perhaps you still can with your '23 if you haven't registered with the RA site yet!?
The cost of the school is included in the cost of the truck and just need to pay to get there. I had people as far as Canada...
I do not believe the need for huge mudflaps is necessary at all. The primary area to cover is the gap between the side step and the fender. I added a small generic flap to cover that space and it took care of 85+ % of the mud/rocks compared to without and isn't an eye sore.
Got back from Raptor Assault recently and no one could explain why Ford removed the Torsen or if the current set up is better. Granted RA is not part of Ford but is a partner to provide a racing school for customers that purchase specific Ford vehicles. I also havent been doing any extreme off...
Great example of getting the right truck for your needs. Unfortunately diesel prices in many areas is costly and negates the MPG savings but great if that is not the case!
Also GMC has done a great job with their trucks and seeing more Sierras driving around.
I figured I was not alone and the one view I want is the side view front and rear like the new GMs. A must for trails!
Current Ford side view (top angle only *pic in garage):
New Colorado side view (top and wheel level - front and rear with smaller dark area on the front and back only):
What do you think of the visibility from the cabin? I feel the Bronco has very limited visibility compared to the Wrangler and just another reason I went with a F150 Raptor instead.
Nothing says "living the life" more than using the heated steering wheel while running the AC! Pinkies definitely out while driving! :D
And yes... very odd decision from Ford to remove common features from the F150... most likely for a year or two since F150s are a high volume vehicle.
Extremely annoying to receive anything that isn't exactly what you ordered... especially an expensive truck. Curious if it was a decal shortage issue to be resolved by the local dealer since it is such an obvious oversight? I would make sure to report it to Ford Customer Service to complain in...
For those that have made the Glare Free change on a '23 see the built-in Auto High Beam behavior becomes overwritten or disabled? I'm curious why GF isn't standard on the Raptor since I believe it comes with Dynamic Bending headlamps as standard (especially with GF being legal now)? I know...
Been watching reviews on the new GM trucks like the Canyon and Colorado (ZR2 & AT4X). The camera views they have blow the F150/Raptor out of the water from what I am seeing so far! Better side views (Raptor has a black ring around the truck which sucks for checking close objects) and not to...
I noticed a few options Ford added to the Settings options that pertained to popular changes people do in other F150s. The glare-free (called Auto High Beam) and disable beeping on remote lock both of which I find under Settings > Vehicle >
So far the only thing I cannot set is Quiet Start...
OP, maybe I missed it but what year is your Gen 3? I heard possible bad batches of chips for the early Gen 3s (2021) and other brands between 2020-2022 due to rushing chips out for vehicles with lower quality control.
OP, get your tires fixed and find a new dealership (if possible)! Random non-oem skid bolts (not even all 4 and literally the worst type to add!!!) and careless techs. F that place! Also don't forget to roast them on Yelp and report to Ford! lol
Hahaha... this thread has become amusing. I get both sides and its frustrating when $hit breaks...period! It is a very minor common modification with the collars and not a wild high lift so I would be surprised by the issue too. Also tons of people have done this mod without any issues so I...
Its odd but the G3's front and rear end are more simple than the G2 yet looks better or slightly better. Also the G3's 3.5 may have some tweaks because it consistently beats the G2 in the 1/4 while being a few hundred pounds more.
As mentioned the ride alone is worth the price of admission and...
