Open answer/opinions wanted!
I have a 13' SCAB.
There is a set of Eibachs and ICONS with hardware, new OEM shackles and extended SS brake lines sitting in my garage for nearly 2 years now. Im attempting to decide my next course of action. Also, I'm certain that the OEM leafs have never been...
one of my 3 grill lights died, so got a set of the morimoto's in. Easiest install ever, although I couldn't remove the little white connector holder that pegs in above the lights. Any tricks on removing this without breaking it?
i bought mine with high mileage at 150k mi, ive put on 15k since no issues in the engine. I did have to replace the leadframe, which was my fault because i did the trans flush instead of just a fluid change. Didn't read enough on the forums before I got that work done.
I was also looking for a...
its still a true Raptor since its the OG model. Its hard to fault him for wanting a clean truck that is actually available. Now if it was a regular F150 dressed up as a Raptor then the flak would be flying!
oh i just noticed the rear bumper+lights, new front headlights (alpha rex i think), front grille and the dooshy .50 cal bullet antenna (i got one too lol)
Ouch that is quite the list, all of the wear items I wouldnt be concerned with, but its the rust that would be the long term issue. I bought my 13' SCAB with high mileage as well 150k mi on it, and it needed about 8k worth of mechanical work to bring it up to my standards of maintenance. Brand...
This was the first real truck I've owned as well, I dont count my previous Ridgeline as a real truck lol. Now i've never driven a 5.4, but I imagine its alot more sluggish than the 6.2. You should test drive it anyways to get a feel, and then find a 6.2 to drive if you havent already. Then you...
Welcome! I also have a race red scab, it’s the only one I ever seen in my parts, it stands out for sure.
I got mine with 150k on it and prob much more rust than you, but don’t regret it one bit! You won’t either.
As MurderedOutSVT said it’s like driving a couch, hands down the most...
get the price down for sure, unless theyre absolutely mint then you can swap right in. I lucked out on a used set for $300, but I really only needed the cushions and covers.
just hit 257k km on a 13'. also just had all shocks replaced with new units. It rides great now, the old original shocks were straight cooked and not worth rebuilding. I cant believe how much better it feels!
Not sure how Ford came to the pricing on this, it def doesn’t not seem justified.
I can’t wait to see what the cost will be in Canada with ADM, so I can point and laugh at the screen
haven’t been on the site for a while and definitely was not expecting to read this.
Thanks for helping out a fellow Canuck, I could always count on you for a post/comment/answer to my questions as a new owner.
RIP Jim
Recently picked up a new to me set of Method 701’s in 0 offset too. Def pokes a bit much like yoopercharged with his 703’s.
But I like the look of the wheels, won’t be taking jumps with them anytime soon.
no updates on my end cause my truck has been sitting for the last month-ish or so. Stopped daily commuting it cause of gas prices and been working 6 days/week, the parts will go on there eventually!
