Next I need to decide on what to do about the rear end rubbing. I’ve already decided to pick up the front fender flares from either mcneil or fiberwerx which are 4-4.5” bulge and 2” rise which should work and look fantastic IMO. I really didn’t want to do the bedsides so now I’m looking and...
Thanks. Right now on the rear of my truck I still have the stock rear end with a 11/2” wheel spacer and my wheels are 0 offset with the deaver +3 leaf springs, in my opinion doesn’t look bad as far as the difference compared to the front.
this last weekend was the first time I was able to really...
No, a metal stub from the knuckle is hitting another metal stub on the LCA. Like I said they both are beveled like they are possibly expected to hit at some point
Can you guys tell me if it is normal for these to hit? It definitely looks like it is designed to hit because both sides are beveled but the suspension isn‘t fully compressed in this picture and they are hitting each other. The marring on the metal looks like all new marks, which I know I just...
I got the suspension, wheels and tires installed this week. Here is a picture of how the truck looks in phase 1 of turning a grandpa truck into something I think is cool
thanks for the link, it looks good. I have already purchased Gen 1 coilovers for my build. I currently am waiting very impatiently on the remainder of other parts to start the build.
Thanks guys for the info. I got the rest of the parts ordered and the spc kit as well. I’m pretty excited to start wrenching on this truck and hopefully this conversion will meet my expectations.
Besides the raptor front end, I am adding the eibach pro lift springs and the deaver +3 leaf...
Okay, I’m finalizing my final order to finish the front end swap and I could use some help with all of the little odds and ends. The tie rod ends and boots. From what I can tell there is no right and left specific part. Tasca, which is where my final order is going through lists only one outer...
Thanks for all of the help guys. Let’s talk body changes. I found some used front fenders (gen1) and the piece that goes just above the bumper. I’m planning on a aftermarket bumper. I’m curious with the gen1 fenders if I need to have the gen 1 hood or if the stock f150 hood will work?
Thanks for the responses guys. I would like to know if there are actually differences of gen1 and gen2. I’m not even sure if they different part numbers at this point, but I’m sure someone does. If gen 2 are beefed up with all the same mounting points and geometry then that would be a no brainer.
Ok gentlemen, I could use some clarity on a raptor conversion. I have found a lot of very helpful info on here so far but I haven’t ran into my specific combo of year and plan. I just got a great deal on a 2014 f150 super crew lariat , which is not the raptor that I wanted but I couldn’t pass...
