Exactly right. If the QC was representative of a $100K vehicle, then we have a discussion. Otherwise, back to the crappy dealership for every cheap part or stressed out component on an expensive F150. Awesome truck, was actually behind one this afternoon and it sounded awesome, but not $115K...
Another avenue: piece it out? Those parts are expensive and you’ll never get the labor paid. Perhaps piece it out if you have the stock parts, reinstall and sell? Or even keep depending on financial situation.
Sorry about the hard times but they pass as well. Gorgeous rig and GLWS or...
Great topic and responses. I have a 2010 SCAB and don’t miss the bit of extra leg room in the back for passengers. Haul my kids and their friends to school, football, baseball… all big teenagers , zero issues. Always gets compliments. All around town and city however. Once you get cross...
Removed my crappy, faded carbon fiber hood vents with beautiful, brand new OEM vents. And threw on a red SVT Badge. And washed her. Damn she’s good lookin!
Thanks Gents. Saw that and it helps but SCAB might be different. Water definitely coming down by rear wheel well but damn if I can’t find the outlet. Thanks
2nd post today.. it’s a record! Chasing wet carpet and clearing sunroof drain holes. I’ve searched here and YouTube and cannot locate the exact EXIT location of the four sunroof drain tubes. Are they in the chassis? Front 2 drain near A pillar but the tube I can’t see or grab.
Front...
Hey Gang,
Was chasing a wet floorboard after a huge rain storm and was under the truck messing around. Saw “duct tape” covering manufactured chassis holes on both sides up and down my 2010 SCAB. Why would the PO install this?
Exactly right and well said. It has plenty of features including a sunroof that doesn’t leak, Bluetooth that works and enough power for me that sounds incredible with the Corsa. Ton of compliments asking if it’s the “new Raptor”
2010 SCAB, Tuxedo Black. 182k miles, zero issues. Well.. Fixed passenger handle lol. Change oil every 3000 miles, Ford dealership service since Day 1. Runs like a champ. Best vehicle ever owned
Yeah gotta admit the Gen 3 is growing on me. And a ton of em running round my neck of the woods here in Houston, yet would never part with my Gen 1 SCAB. Great looking rig you have there too, Sir.
Hey FordTechOne,
You bring up an interesting point on the “SVT” engine on the 6.2. Didn’t know that.
For the 2010 were these SVT-specific engines or something taken off the shelf for expediency?
