2017 Raptor SCREW 166k
I am posting a video of this sound would love anyone’s help
I put the little springs on the waste gate linkage
Don’t think it’s IWE as it does it not in gear and in 4wd
Don’t think it’s trans as it does it not in gear
Don’t think it’s cam phasers done those twice
Doesn’t...
Hello I have this same issue. Not the IWE or cam phasers as both are replaced
But my noise only does this when cold. Could that be the same issue with heat shield or hangers? It definitely sounds like exhaust something
2017 SCREW Raptor - 160k miles
had cam phasers done twice under warranty and all other service and recalls
We tow a small travel trailer a lot and I am wondering what other high mileage gen 2s are out there. Truck runs great no noises and trans fluid has looked clean each flush. What would be...
Gen 2 Raptor SCREW 145k
From time to time I will use the FORScan app to reset the transmission tables when trans starts shifting weird. There are 3 options in tcm section
1. Adaption tables
2. Reset all adaptations
3. Reset tcm control module
I usually reset all 3. Does anyone know if the order...
I guess I am asking does the Cobb tune or whatever tune I do replace the normal drive mode? Can I still go to weather or Baja mode with steering wheel toggle
How do switch to the Cobb tunes after update or flash is done or is it sort of locked into that new tune?
Yeah I agree I just hate that have to do that. I really want normal mode reprogrammed
I like the idea of Cobb tube but can’t picture how to switch into that mode
I think I agree with you and if sport mode is best option then so be it. But it can fall on its face when trying to brake from high speeds and no way that is right. Sometimes feels like the trans is about to shed parts on the pavement
I have 2017 raptor screw. 145k miles. Have done all service. We do tow a small travel trailer in tow mode.
In normal mode transmission always wants to get in higher gears and stay there and sometimes while braking it won’t downshift quick enough. I can drive in SPORT mode and it’s fine.
I...
@Docked Wages - was this pretty easy to do with the app? i have iPhone and assume it is same or similar procedure. the ODB mx+ is the recommended tool on the app so thats good. are there instructions on the app to only reset the tables? or did you find the instructions somewhere else...
Well I am not very good at these forums as I should have posted earlier. Yes we found problem and got it fixed and it has not had issues in a while. There were loose ground wires off the pcm. When we would hit a bump and any of those accessories like upfitter connected lights or seat heaters...
It is looking that way. Only happens when using the upfitter switches
I drove around with only the seat heaters and no issue
so it happens on highway when using upfitter switches and/or seat heaters
Yeah - will do! None are tied into any non-upfitter circuit. i wired lights directly into the upfitter wires in engine bay. and the ground is tied to a screw on the frame. I dont have any other accessories or aftermarket alarm. I plan on unplugging lights until they find me a loaner and get...
Yeah i get it - and i have an appointment. I wired them myself using deutsch connectors and they worked fine for years and my kids would flip them on and i wouldnt even know it. With that said maybe power washer has hurt the connections or like you said a mouse. we dont live on land or...
Thanks for the reply - you are thinking the auxillary light harness? Do you think if it was loose or eaten it could cause the whole system to go haywire like that? Is there a place in this forum specific to electrical problems? i took a video but cant seem to be able to post
Hello I am new to this forum. I am having big electrical problems where interior lights flicker and the blind spot detection fault comes on then transmission shifts bad. The next warning is low brake oil every time I hit brakes. Then when I get home the truck eventually dies and all electrical...
