It’s in the shop now. They came and flat towed it in.
No, no off-roading. Not even a speed bump. I drove the truck home from having the shocks replaced, then parked it. The next day is when I noticed the strange stance, and later that same day (without driving) I went back out on a hunch to...
Yes. But it isn’t my responsibility to fix their mistake, and I don’t want to take any risk that if there is any damage, they blame me for touching it vs. having them fix it and replace / repair damaged components.
See pictures. Pretty pissed off….drivers rear coil sitting like this. Drove the vehicle home and in to town once, didn’t feel anything peculiar but noticed it when walking up my driveway from the mailbox.
Not going to touch it myself, but pretty pissed off. How can they screw this up?
For your 80k vehicle, would you rather push the limits with something generic or using something custom created for your truck by an expert and true enthusiast for these vehicles?
For me there was only ever one choice when it came to getting my truck tuned….
Stock injectors can’t handle pure e85, plus I think the fuel pump has issues with that much flow too. So to run E85 you’d need more than just the tune, but no, you would want an e85 specific tune from Goose.
Stage 2 Goosetune with TCM, 91/93 Octane or e50, Intercooler, and maybe a CAI if you’re feeling spicy. That’s it. Everything else is a waste and will only degrade your daily driver experience and reliability.
Take the money you’ll save from not doing more and buy yourself a Starbucks every...
Super excited for my 93 (and 87) tune + TCM coming this week. That plus the Cobb CAI / Intake Scoop / Shroud for the under hood dressing (and intake collapse prevention) and I will be set! Already running a CVFab Intercooler and catch can.
Definitely ready to breathe new life into the truck...
Just got 22C22 performed while truck was in service. Will report back if flickering has been resolved, but hard to tell because the issue was already intermittent.
My service department just finished both rears being replaced. They originally had difficulty “hearing” the noise, but moved forward after I referenced the aforementioned SSM. They did a test ride in another new raptor and noticed it was quieter. Then a stethoscope check while being jounced...
Following up: two direct injectors (cylinders 2 and 5) replaced. They passed load testing but ford directed replacement due to their intermittent operation.
Tech believes some water may have gotten to / around the PCM and caused a temporary short, which fried the injector(s). Unsubstantiated...
Yeah, he definitely didn’t know. He did nothing special to the truck. I am mostly certain the truck was in 2H but didn’t get a chance to check before he was off to the races.
Total tow distance was about 15 miles.
Well, yesterday was a rough day for the Red Raptor (2022 MY 35 Package w/ 13.5k miles). Driving along, had been running fine all day, and all of a sudden everything gets shuddering and weird. Felt like I was going over rough pavement, but went away when I let off the throttle. When I gave it...
My advisor said something to the affect of “…under your bumper to bumper…” so you might consider using that language? Just a thought. Hope they get you taken care of!
Follow up: just got a call today. They did a like vehicle comparison and heard more noise than those vehicles. Technician recommended replacement of both rear shocks, still backordered with no date so I will drive it until they come in.
Hopefully others will have a positive resolution as well.
Just dropped my truck off a few days ago (‘22 35” within the blend dates of candidate bad trucks) and today had to go test drive with the tech to point out the noise.
Frustrating to have to baby step through this process with a dealership. The truck is so loud sometimes over bumps and potholes...
Seconded. You want the best tune with amazing customer service from someone dedicated to giving you a product / service you can enjoy for a long time? Look no further.
Probably not but will wait on GooseTuned to chime in. Usually once unlocked the ECU remains unlocked. It shouldn’t affect OTA updates or bench-top (in shop) flashes.
