Did you read my post? Hint: it was the first sentence. Now to derail the thread and explain how internet forums work and survive. It's all based on aggregating users, creating content, generating interest and presenting advertising to those users. Telling people to search defeats the purpose...
Thanks for bringing the thread back around. The video somewhat restored my faith in my Gen2 Raptor.
I'm searching the threads here for high mileage Gen 2's because my 2017 just crossed 83k on the odometer. It's on the second engine and third set of cam phasers.
My gut tells me to dump this...
My former next-door neighbor was the Vice President of Ford Customer Service and his words were, "I'll tell them to swap in a brand new engine if you like but there's no guarantee the noise won't come back again."
I've lived with it so far to 130,000 miles and it seems to have actually gotten...
This Adaptive learning BS we've been dealing with is now solved. I ordered an OBD Link MX+ and downloaded the Forscan Lite App on my Android phone. Today I sat in the driveway for 1/2 an hour and cleared the Adaptive Learning myself.
The truck drives like it should now.
Amazing that a $99...
To follow up, I linked the OBD Link MX+ to my Android phone with the Forscan Lite App cleared the adaptive learning in the TCM and the 10 speed slam shifting stopped.
The truck has spent 40 days at the dealer for harsh shifting and since they can't seem to figure it out or fix it once and for...
They probably got sick of the 10 speed trans issues. I'm sure that's why the original owner of mine dumped it at 50K. Dealer did a reflash and put it on the lot as a CPO which I'm learning the hard way doesn't mean squat.
I'm planning to download the Forscan Lite for my Android phone because it says I can reset the Adaptive Learning in the TCM which is a constant problem for our 17 Raptor.
The Forscan website says some adapters won't work. Can anybody provide a link to an adapter that is known to work...
My 16' tandem enclosed utility trailer with a Can Am Side By Side in it squats the 2017 Raptor hard and it's stability at freeway speeds is not the best. It's definitely not a tow vehicle. Even our 2012 F150 2wd Harley Edition is much more stable towing the same trailer.
We bought our 2017 Raptor in September of 2020 with roughly 50K on the odometer.
Background:
It's my wife's daily driver and it gets driven about 7 miles a day total. All of the roads are 40 MPH max speed limit and are all pavement. It's a typical round trip with 4 traffic lights so it's...

Ford Tech,
Your contributions are very highly valued and as I've said in other threads I only wish you or your twin worked in Central Florida. Maybe I'd feel differently if someone as diligent as you was in charge of our vehicles.
We've owned the 2012 Harley F150 6.2 since new ($50K sticker...
Because you are out of the original factory warranty you are now in the hands of the Extended Warranty where things are handled differently. First it's not eligible for Lemon Law. Second ESP is like dealing with an insurance company. They are looking to keep costs as low as possible. Third...
OP, You are not alone. This 17' Raptor is our LAST Ford. My wife begged for this vehicle even though I offered a new Escalade or a new 2500 Denali lifted on 37's. She said the Raptor "Just felt right". Now, not so much. She now wants the Denali because she's tired of the "characteristic"...
Previously I've described the factory ride of the Raptor as more like my old 76 Lincoln and less of a regular F150.
My wife complained about the "Floaty" ride of hers so I showed her a few videos of Trophy trucks racing and how the suspension is designed to articulate. I then took her for a...
That rusty 2002 may have been on the bottom tail of the transport and when it left the plant the roads were wet and salty. All the saltwater got kicked up under it before it had 10 miles on the thing.
